Why go through all the trouble of pretending to be friends with someone, deceiving someone to the point of the illusion of a good friendship when, in reality, you try to convince actual, mutual friends to not include your faux-friend in anything? You are making this person’s life difficult and frustrating while also putting your real friends in awkward situations. Why go through all the effort.
